'Northern Ireland's STEM curriculum is falling far short' - Sentinus ChairmanThe Primary STEM Challenge is a hugely enjoyable problem solving challenge for teams of two P6/P7 pupils.  Using basic technology materials, teams are required to design and build a solution to a given problem within a set time.  Teams will be judged by Sentinus ambassadors after they have completed the challenge.

The 2024 Primary STEM Challenge will be ‘straight to the final’ – there will be no heats!

  1. The competition is open to teams of two P6-P7 pupils.
  2. Registration will go live at 10am on Thursday 25th April 2024.
  3. Each school may enter one team only to attend the Challenge final at South Lakes Leisure Centre, Craigavon on Wednesday 5th June 2024.
  4. The final will commence at 10.15am and last approximately two hours.  Prize presentation afterwards.
  5. Teams should be accompanied by an appropriate adult, who should remain on site for the duration of the final.
  6. Photographs may be taken; therefore, schools are asked to ensure appropriate permissions are in place.
