Sentinus is pleased to announce an extension to its current Continuing Professional Development provision for primary schools across Northern Ireland. To help primary teachers, who may not be STEM subject specialists, incorporate science and technology in their delivery of the World Around Us area of learning, and to demonstrate how science can be used as a mechanism to enhance literacy and numeracy, we are offering teachers an opportunity to attend low cost CPD workshops. Ideally schools will come together as a cluster to allow each to send one or more teachers to benefit from this training.
As well as enhancing teachers’ capability in the delivery of STEM subjects in the classroom, these workshops will help them understand how science and technology can be used as a motivational tool for pupils and can transform how they view learning across a range of subjects.
