Experiences of Work

Target Group: Years 10 - 14
   
This programme, organised by Sentinus, is designed to bring young role models from industry, commerce and the professions into the classroom where they can share career experiences with students in Years 10 to 14.  The main aim of the programme is to raise awareness of careers within specific areas.  Currently the programme targets the engineering, healthcare, information technology, construction and finance sectors.

Benefits to the participating schools include access to role models from different career areas, opportunity to explore careers with experts from industry, valuable links with local companies, essential insight and information to assist students in making informed career and work experience decisions and support for careers events in schools.  In turn, the contributing companies gain increased profile within the community, increased potential recruitment and staff development training.
