Junior Engineers for Britain

Target Group: Years 6 - 7

Junior Engineers for Britain is a national activity directed at primary schools to encourage participation in design and build problem-solving activities.  Sentinus runs a number of heats, each involving pupils from up to 20 primary schools.  Working in pairs, the pupils are asked to design and build a solution to a “challenge” using K’Nex construction kits and their finished models are judged by teams of Science and Engineering Ambassadors (SEAs).

From these regional heats 25 teams are selected to compete in the Northern Ireland Final at Sentinus Young Innovators.
