Nuffield STEM Bursary Scheme

Target Group: Year 13

Managed in Northern Ireland by Sentinus, the Nuffield STEM Bursary Scheme allows science and technology students to take part in science and engineering based research and development projects in industry or research institutions during the summer vacation. This paid placement offers an opportunity for students to gain four to six weeks of valuable hands-on experience within an industrial research environment.

On completion of their project, students produce an industrial report, present their work to an audience from education and industry and have their work accredited with a CREST Gold Award. The programme is available to students from schools and FE colleges who are studying appropriate STEM subjects.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2010 scheme.
