This year, we hosted eight Summer Schools across the province. We had over 200 students between the ages of 10 and 13 take part in the Summer Schools, which were designed to give the students an opportunity to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Computer Programming through a range of team-based and individual activities. This year’s theme was a “Mission to Mars” with each of the activities suiting students of all abilities.
Have a look at the video below to see some of the highlights of this years STEM Futures Summer Schools and see the fun that your Son or Daughter could have at next years Summer Schools, which will have a brand new theme and a different set of fun and educational activities! Keep an eye on our Website and Social Media Sites for the application forms after Christmas!
Special thanks go to our Host Schools and Universities for their help in making the summer schools possible: St Colman’s College Newry, St Michael’s College Enniskillen, Holy Trinity College Cooktown, Ballymena Academy, Loreto College Coleraine, Queens University Belfast, Ulster University Jordanstown and Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council (Armagh Marketplace Theatre).
